Palomino is a coat color on a horse. It is a distinctive yellow-gold shade. The mane and tail are usually white or off-white, also called flaxen. Palomino colored horses might have white markings on their legs below the knees, and also on their face. To be registered, Palominos have to have a few black hairs in their mane and tail.
